Menu:   Hummus tahina w fresh peas and mint, Asparagus bundles w Boursin and prosciutto, Grilled butterflied lamb and escalloped potatoes, Roasted carrot and arugula salad w truffled goat cheese, Velvety dark chocolate mousse.

Menu:   Savory mushroom palmiers, Devilled egg nestled in spring greens, Duck breast a l'orange with in-pan roasted potatoes, Mache w baby beets and hazel nuts, Magee Farm strawberry trifle w lemon cream.

Menu:   Cucumber cups w roasted beets and yogurt dressing, Herbed crepe w lemony smoked trout, Chicken Milanese Parmesan w pasta, Tomato, onion and roasted lemon salad, Rosemary buttermilk sorbet w madeleines.

Menu:   Fig and blue cheese savories, Chilled Moroccan tomato soup, Robust Salade Nicoise, Brie cheese en croute w seasonal fruits, Homemade peach ice cream w almond macaroons.

Menu:    Brussel sprouts w bacon jam, Chickpea panisse w zucchini and corn salsa, Lamb moussaka w crusty baguette, Late summer BHF green salad, Blackberry and plum clafoutis.

Sunday October 8 th  at 1:00 pm  BYOB      

Menu:    Eggplant tapenade on pita crisps, Leek and potato soup w Parmesan croutons, Lasagna w Milton sausage and homemade duck egg noodles, BHF late season greens w pear and Gorgonzola crumbs, Fragrant spice cake w dark chocolate granache.

Once a month from May to October, appreciative diners have joined hosts John and Helen, and gifted chefs Michèle Jennings and Margaret Wiebe, for a four-course Midday Sunday dinner featuring fresh, natural ingredients from our  market garden.
Diners sit at one long table on our porch, as people get to know their tablemates.   Michèle is always happy to answer recipe and menu questions. After the meal, we conduct tours around the farm to talk about the various vegetables, holistic fruit and nut orchards, beehives, and to visit the ducks and geese.

Having dinner at midday (1 pm) on Sundays with your family used to be a rural tradition. In a time when family connections are hard to maintain because of distance, family traditions enacted with friends can help build a “tribal” family, or “village”. We’re all about health and hygiene in mind, body and spirit. It’s fun to enjoy good times with friends, but we are going to limit groups to six people per dinner. Meeting new people is one of the principles of “harvest meals”, joining together in appreciation of the bounty of the earth,  building community and friends!.

Above is our upcoming Midday Dinner schedule for 2017. Please use the reservation button next to the dinner date you wish to attend. Reservations are on a first come, first served basis. There are a total of 132 places (22 per dinner) for the whole season. Cost is $70 per person; please BYOB.  Some wine pairings may be suggested with the menus.

Cancellation Policy: If you find you are unable to attend any dinner, please call (302) 236-2437 expeditiously! Your money will be cheerfully refunded as along as you contact us at least one week before the event. If you contact us less than a week before the event, we will retain the payment. We should have a waiting list and will probably be able to fill in your space given enough warning. If you have a hard luck case, we will listen
